Using Gradient Mesh
1. Open a new Illustrator Document & create a circle, any size will do. Use the ellipse tool to draw a circle. Hold down the shift key while drawing the circle to create a perfect circle.
2. Use the Gradient Mesh Tool
Select the mesh tool and click near the top of the circle to add a mesh line.
3. Create the Mesh Grid
Continue clicking inside the circle to add more lines. Make as few or as many as you like.
4. Add Color
Use the lasso tool to highlight some points on the outside of the circle, and select any color from the color swatch pallet.
5. Continue Adding Color.
Use the same technique to add different values of color to the circle.
6. Finished
The reflection is another gradient mesh circle using gray and white colors.
