Designing Line Art with the Blend Tool (Illustrator CS2)
1. Open a new Illustrator Document, any size will do. Set the color mode to CMYK
NOTE: if you are working with RGB some steps will be different.
2. Draw a Wavy Line
Use the pen tool to draw a wavy line. Make sure the fill color is set to none and the stroke color is black.
3. Add Lines
Draw another wavy line that crosses over this line at one or more points.
4. Modify with Blend Tool
Double click the blend tool. And select Specified Steps, play around with the number of steps for different results. Click ok.
5. With the Blend Tool still selected click once on each line.
6. Make each line different colors for different effects.
